Father’s Day: A Poem

Father’s Day: A Poem

When it comes to being a dad,
Paul and Jon are not too bad.
Pa taught them all about the lake –
fishing, boating, skiing on one leg!

Starting a fire, packing a van,
pitching a tent, being a man.
Gardening and feeding the birds,
playing golf, picking up turds.

Cheering for the Vikings and Twins,
even when they have no wins.
This family has been pretty lucky
to have such dads, both strong and plucky.

Thank you God for so much grace,
for through these dads, we see your face.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
