Memorial Weekend 2020

Memorial Weekend 2020

E.P.I.C.

That was our Memorial weekend. We had SO much fun, we had NO car trouble, there were NO injuries (other than one mild bee sting and a few slivers) – the weather was perfect, everyone got along famously.

Here’s how it went:

  • Big kids got some target practice with Laurent
  • Little kids dug many holes and had wheel barrow rides
  • We took a fun hike over to the cowboy cabin and I got my first good photos there in years
  • Took the kids to visit our favorite windmill and had them pose in all the traditional spots the big kids did when they were little
  • Made a record-breaking bonfire by burning two old, broken recliner chairs
  • S’mores and hotdogs
  • Sunsets
  • Riding in the back of Tom-Tom
  • Cows, cows, cows
  • Clouds, clouds, clouds
  • Took Xavier on a mother-son photo shoot
  • Dad and Xavier dug out the back of the cabin
  • More sunsets
  • More hot dogs
  • Dad telling bible stories around the campfire

Great photos, great weekend, blessed time together. God is good.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
