50 Years

50 Years

It is a rare treasure to be able to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary.  This year, Paul’s parents, Fred and Pat Heidmann, celebrated their 50th anniversary.  Since the actual anniversary was during the summer, we had our family celebration here, on Sunday.  It was my honor to be asked to photograph the family, and while many of the shots are pure silliness, I think we all managed to present ourselves well in at least a few photos.  After our photo shoot, Grandma and Grandpa treated the whole clan to dinner at Red Lobster.  Wow!  It’s been a few years since I enjoyed the gloriousness of a cheddar bay biscuit.  It may well have been the last one I ever eat, since my suspicions have been confirmed that I have a number of food sensitivities that include both wheat and dairy.  I ignored caution, however, and savored each tasty morsel with thanksgiving.

Here are our pics of the day, in honor of this most august celebration.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
