So this week began the first week after all school work was handed in for the year. With it came new screen rules! Yayyyy!! (and there was much rejoicing!) The kids were given a two hour window for screens, after which NO MORE! And because they were grateful that they at least go that much, they rebounded pretty quickly and moved straight into creative mode. They decided to build a restaurant in the living room, set it up to serve the leftover El Pollo Loco food from the party, and charge a few pennies per plate. Their idea was that they want to save up for an ice cream maker. I approve!
What a delightful pastime. The restaurant was primarily designed and run by Efrain and Alyssa, and the food was terrific and presented so nicely, and they had a blast working together.
We also got to spend some time with Efrain’s brothers, Damian and Jonathan while their mama ran errands. They are such sweethearts! Jonathan had a riotous time with Ruben, and Natalie took charge of little Damian and worked her baby-magic.
