Embracing Motherhood, Homeschooling Conference, Radio Apps, and Muffins

This is a “this-n-that” kind of post… just things I’ve noted bopping around the ‘net …

Saw this article today, Embracing Motherhood by Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle — Catholic Book Spotlight I definitely would like to read this, and probably several other books by Donna Marie Cooper O’Boyle.

I’m very excited to be attending the AZ Catholic Homeschooling Conference next weekend.  The workshops look interesting – especially the panel on Homeschooling the Special Needs Child.

Over the last several years, I spent quite a bit of time in the car as a Karate Mom, and those hours were some of my most enjoyable “me-time” hours (well, really almost my ONLY me-time hours!).  They were made enjoyable by the company I kept, which included not only an occasional visit with Hugh Hewitt, but in the last two years, primarily a couple of solid hours with the hosts of Catholic Answers Live, often 3 times in a week.  Since we finished Jacob’s time in Karate at the end of April, I have missed those opportunities to learn.  Since reception inside our house is sketchy at best, I was pretty psyched to read this article about Radio Apps and the New Evangelization.  I’ve yet to figure out if this will be feasible in our home, but I was quite intrigued about the internet app.

Make Ahead Magic Muffins.

Thank you, Yummy Kitchen Lady.

Between you and Pioneer Woman, I’ve been convinced to never try food blogging.
Y’all have that covered. 🙂

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
