Rainy Season

Rainy Season

We’ve had a few days of rain here in Phoenix this week, culminating in this morning’s pea-soup fog on the way to church. Here are a couple of shots I grabbed from the web of the stadium for comparison:

Anyway, there you go. All the wonderful fans who flew in to town in the last 48 hours were treated to some uncharacteristically gloomy weather, which, as a fan of rain clouds, I found slightly amusing. But it’s cleared off beautifully this afternoon and evening, so happy football partying to all.

I did have to go out to my back yard and take special note of what the rainy season has accomplished there. It’s good to know that something can grow here, given enough moisture, even if it is “merely” weeds! In these photos, Geneva is standing up to her full height, and the weeds, at their tallest, surpass her 5’2″.  Good job, weeds!

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
