The School Room

Walking through the dining room into the kitchen past my children, all busily attending to their schoolwork at the table, I am compelled to gush, “I LOVE you kids!!”

Megan’s immediate reaction, an incredulous “WHY?!”

Nearly falling over with convulsive spasms of laughter, I gaspingly respond, “Because I HAVE to!!”

And as they disintegrate with more laughter, I continue, “Just like YOU guys have to love each OTHER!

And THIS is what happens next:

As you can see, at the end I finally was able to restore order.

The order lasted roughly the click of that last photo.

Such is life around our school room.  It’s really quite remarkable that we get anything done, let alone that I managed to graduate one of these ragamuffins and send her off to college.

Lord have mercy.
