The last part of the afternoon on Saturday was divided between some shooting for Jake, Daddy and Laurent, and finally, one more hike down to the Carrizo Wash, this time all the way down to let the kids play and run and slide down dirt hills and climb through culverts and find forts amongst the salt cedar trees, while I filled my color cup to the brim with the afternoon light shining through golden branches against blue skies. Something for everyone! It was a glorious end to a short weekend.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
