My Land of Oz

I’ve been waxing nostalgic this weekend, since my sweetie is up at the ranch, and remembering with great fondness last August, when the world was green.  These are shots from the same day as the picture up top in my banner.

Looking down into our valley.

Sun through the clouds.

Jake & Gen by the gate.

Yellow.

Yellow & Green.

Pink.  With cool bugs.

Boy with an idea.

Orange & Green.

Sunset & Sissy.

I need to go to the ranch.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!

  1. Robin gave me this philosophy book for Christmas, sort of a primer of philosophy covering various topics, so that I might have some dim understanding of what she’s talking about when she asks me to proof her philosophy papers. Primer though it is, it’s still almost incomprehensible to me, but I’m slogging through. I just started – and will probably not continue – the liberal atheist author’s chapter on God. Who needs to read what the heck he believes about the existence of God or about what any other “thinkers” believe about the existence of God when I can come to Nettie’s site and see these amazing colors and shapes and this perfect beauty and KNOW that God exists with no other proof???? Hmmmmmmm?????

  2. I have to admit I’m envious that you have a place like that to retreat to. Hope you make it up there soon!
