Thanksgiving Day 2011:
- Mass at Ss. Simon & Jude with Bishop Olmsted presiding. Got to sing in Spanish, English and Latin today. Woohoo!
- Off to Sun Lakes in two vans – one for me, Oma, and the kids, the other for Paul and Susan. Jeff and Chris arrived in their own transportation and bearing googly-eyed gifts.
- Family Fun awaiting the arrival of the Wickenburgians… biking, fishing, gabbing, reading, snacking.
- Sumptuous repast with more food, in both kind and quantity, than 24 people could stuff into themselves. (Yay Leftovers!)
- More fun, more gabbing, more biking and fishing, and see if you can guess which movie we watched…
- Homeward bound around sunset, we arrived home after dark and I barely made it before conking out in my chair at 6:38.
- Was awakened by the alarming sound of Doug’s ringtone in what I thought was the middle of the night, but turned out to be only 10:30, with a Happy Thanksgiving Day phone call. Once I was fully awake, I thoroughly enjoyed the chat.
- Couldn’t get back to sleep after that, so I processed my photos for the day and here we are.
- Tomorrow (that is, later this morning) — we will ALL go out for our first (and only) venture in Black Friday Shopping. The very particular need for us to go today is simply that we need 6 beds and we need linens and we need them a.s.a.p. Our final inspection is Monday, and Lord Willing we will immediately make the move back to our own house and then clean this one, all before Wednesday.
- I keep repeating to everyone: It will be a memorable adventure.
