Labor Day Weekend pt. I

Our Friday departure for the ranch was sadly delayed by the new realities imposed by college class schedules.  We finished our packing and loaded up in the morning, and picked Laurent up when her class was finished and were on the road by 1pm.  Before hitting the highway we stopped for some munchable lunchables at QT, and gave the dogs some water.  It was hilarious to see Bella lying down underneath Sissy and both of them eagerly lapping from the bowl!   I texted Jessica to see if a stop to see the cousins in Superior would be too intrusive to their schooling schedule, and happily we were welcome.  It was a lovely cool respite 2 hours into our drive, and we had a great time seeing the foster doggies (and Joe’s new parakeets) while we visited for an hour before heading northward again.

Those of you who have been following my blog for a while will understand why I feel the need to post this clip from Monty Python when I say “We did not break down anywhere!”
