With school starting the first of August, opportunities for summer family trips are very limited. We thought maybe we could still manage a weekend away at the ranch for the ranch association meeting on the 19th, but there was a major event scheduled on Sunday the 20th for which we had to be in town. What to do? Well, we packed up and headed out of town after school on Thursday, letting the kids play hooky on Friday, and planned to head home right after the Saturday meeting. It worked out quite perfectly!
