Tuesday – Rehearsal

Last night the RCIA, RICA, and their sponsors, gathered in Smith Hall to go over the many details of the Easter Vigil service on Saturday evening, and do a run-through.  It was very hard for me to concentrate, and I kept forgetting what I was supposed to say, which stressed me out.  It’s not hard to remember, really, unless your mind goes blank the way mine does… then you’re stuck! :-P  Anyway, I’m praying that I will be much more focused on Saturday.  Here are some pics from the evening, and I especially like the one that shows how big our group of candidates and catechumens is!

  • The RICA (Spanish language membership class) and RCIA leaders preparing for the evening.
  • Standing – Paul and Jeff Pietro, his sponsor and one half of the husband/wife RCIA leader team.  Seated, Mom.
  • Megan eagerly anticipating the joyous evening. 😉
  • Laurent beside my wonderful sponsor, Lynn.
  • Lisa and a new friend she made in class.
  • Class members lined up to double check their information on their confirmation and baptismal certificates.
  • The whole crew!
  • One more shot of Lisa and Laurent as they listen attentively to instructions.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
