Renaissance Festival Student Day – Part 5

As I was attempting to make my way toward where I thought at least one of my daughters and her friends might be (at the jousting tournament arena) I found myself strangely compelled to stand still and watch in amazement while the Wylde Men prepared, with much jabbering posing teasing heckling and soliloquizing, to jump into a pit of mud.  I stayed longer than made any sense whatsoever, and consequently, there are pictures.  Completely ridiculous.  After that I continued on my way, and the somewhat empty streets bear witness to the hoards of humanity that were sitting in the stands watching the joust, to which I never actually got.  I also found a weaver and a leather worker creating beautiful things.

(If you did not read my nota bene and other non-festival-related commentary, you can do so here.)

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
