After a weekend of celebration and crazy schedules and too much sugar, there’s nothing like getting out into nature a little to settle the minds and hearts of our kiddos. And well, it’s good for all of us, at any age. Since we have tiny ones who need to stay close by the potty, we couldn’t just trek out into the wilderness like we have done for years with our bigs. So we found a good compromise – a park with some water and trails, picnic tables and a lovely playground area with excellent facilities. Sarah joined us for the day, and I was delighted to do a photoshoot with her. I snapped a few of Geneva too, because, well, she’s so much fun.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
