Glasses 2011

It’s interesting how long one can delude oneself that one’s eyesight isn’t really deteriorating…. But when one finally admits that one should really get oneself to the eye doctor, and then, for this reason and that, finds oneself having to put it off for weeks and weeks, up to months even, one is utterly dumbfounded when one finally puts that new prescription upon one’s nose and sees the world clearly for the first time in ever so much too long.

Picked up my new specs on Friday.
WOW was literally the first word out of my mouth.
I believe the doctor was gratified.

I am back to my old eyeglass shape,
having been adventurous for one go-round,
and deciding that,
until I have a Sarah Palin shaped face,
I should forgo the Sarah Palin shaped glasses.

I have to tell you, I am LUVing that
I’m just the right age to
pull off the
bling.
