Sight-seeing: The Painted Desert

Sight-seeing: The Painted Desert

Our last stop before we said our farewells for the summer was a drive through the Painted Desert.  What a spectacular place! We were slightly rushed because it was getting late in the day by the time we arrived there, but it was also beautiful to see the late afternoon sunlight and clouds adding drama to the colorful landscape.  We stopped to take some pics at The Car, and also one other lookout point.

Then it was hugs and kisses and a Minnesota Goodbye, and we parted ways, with Jon and his boys heading back to the Valley, Grandma and Grandpa heading toward New Mexico, and our crew back to the cabin, where we were blessed with a glorious sunset to finish off our March 2014 trip to The Ranch.

Thanks be to God for family time and our hideaway where we can go to be refreshed.
