Blessings, Blessings, Everywhere!

Blessings, Blessings, Everywhere!

What an amazing day.  When Johnny decided he was going to bring his brothers over on Saturday to help us clean yards and cars, I said, well if the boys are coming, the girls have to come too, and they can help me make bread!  So we planned a day of fun, and boy-howdy, was it!  I had a fabulous time working with the girls, Lexus and Destiny, and little Carmello, teaching them how to make a big Hobart-sized batch of bread (10 2-lb. loaves plus one mini loaf).  They helped with every step, and made all the loaves too.  While we were being domestic goddesses inside, the boys were outside mimicking a reverse cyclone.  I have never seen a bunch of boys work as hard as Johnny, Ernestt, and Cisco!  Our yards, front and back, were raked and picked up, they pulled out the burned, twisted wreckage of the privacy slats from our back fence, swept the walk and trimmed the weeds, and after we took a break for some yummy BBQ burgers and hot dogs (thanks to Paul the BBQ King), they finished off by detailing all three cars.  I mean, they are pristine.  You don’t even want to guess what manner of retribution I have threatened to visit upon the head of the first child who so much as tracks one leaf into my van…

The blessings were simply overflowing today.  Thanks be to God!  Tomorrow we’ll have EVERYone here after church for some lunch and some RE review, so that will be even MORE fun.

  1. Did they manage to clean-up Jacob’s room? Uncle Jeff could use a work crew at his apartment as well!
