Put your best foot forward

Friday morning we were up and out the door and standing in front of Hamilton Prosthetics 7 minutes before our 8:30 appointment time.
It was the long awaited day when mother (aka “Step-and-a-Half” by Fred) was to receive her temporary leg and foot.
Here she is taking her first steps:

And after we were finished there, we took a little break at home, and then decided to go out a little more, so we went to Wal-mart and Mom was able to get in at the Salon for the first time in for-EV-ah.

Doesn’t she look FABULOUS?!

God is very, very good, and we are so grateful for all the progress thus far.
Your prayers for continuing grace and strength as mother goes forward in her physical therapy and re-learns how to walk are much, much appreciated!

  1. Taking the steps is ONE thing….but before I can do THAT, I have to get the THING ON…and that includes the paraphernalia and process involved! It’s not just a ‘Oh goodie! i got my leg….now I can walk again!” thing!

    1. It will take some time getting used to it, but you are going to get the hang of it. I have the utmost confidence in you, and our Lord, who definitely wants you back on your feet!! 🙂

  2. Good to hear you are moving in this direction! Perhaps Jeff could also get an appointment at the Salon at Wal Mart?

    1. Hahaha very funny…. no, he must grow those locks out until they are more than 8 inches long, and then donate them to Locks for Love. 😀
