Big Smashup!

This morning Paul went out to go to work at 3:40 a.m. and found this:

Somebody pulled a hit-and-run on us sometime in the night.
None of us heard a thing!

The police said it had to be a truck or SUV because of the height of the collision.

See the clothes basket in the trunk?  That’s what we carry all our bibles and catechisms in when we go to RCIA class.

The bumper of the mini van.

Currently the back end will not open, but hopefully once Paul gets the remainder of the bumper off, it will be fine.

Not as bad on the front end as the back end.

Good thing our Suburban is in working order!
Good thing we always park Mom’s van in the driveway instead of on the street!

  1. Yikes! Your street must be an exciting place at night! Fortunately our driveway is wide and long enough to accomodate multiple vehicles. Hope you are able to replace Paul’s car with a maximum of speed and a minimum of expense!

    1. There is never a dull moment around here! As for replacement… well, we have collision insurance on the little car, so I don’t know what that will mean after the deductible. We will be out some $$, for sure. Oh well. It’s only money, right?
