The month of August traditionally begins with back to school pictures.
This year was to be the year the Ruben joined his siblings as a Maryvale Matador in kindergarten. He was excited to go his first day, all dressed in his uniform and hupping a backpack bigger than himself as he marched off into the school. Unfortunately, it turned out he was not quite ready for school yet emotionally, so he will be starting next year instead.
We also did a little bit of landscape improvement around the place in August, and I was absolutely delighted to get a new Texas Sage bush for the front yard, and two large pots of Lantanas, whose multi-hued butterfly magnet flowers I absolutely adore!
