A Visit to Wildlife World

A Visit to Wildlife World

Grandma ever-so-graciously gifted our family with passes to visit Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park (and the title should have included Petting Zoo!), so we loaded up all 12 of us into Big Red and headed west!

It was right-cold out, and everybody had on a jacket except me. Now, I’m Swedish/Norwegian, so I don’t mind going jacket-less for most of the winter here in AZ – but then, I don’t usually spend the early morning hours outdoors. With the morning temps in the 40s, I admit I got a bit chilly and welcomed throwing Damian’s blankie around my shoulders when he got tired of kicking it off!

We got to see a lot of cool critters, from birds to sea monsters to dragons to safari animals – and we only got through about a quarter of the zoo! The petting zoo was naturally a favorite spot for the younger kids, who enjoyed petting the goats and deer.

Everyone, including me, is looking forward to going back and seeing more.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
