Back in the month of May, in the year 2018, when we adopted six beautiful siblings, we closed our foster license with Catholic Charities because, as we rightly said, “We’re full!” With, at that time, 11 kids under our roof, plus two elder family members, it was clearly time to call a halt to fostering.

So we dusted our hands off and said that’s that, and made off into the sunset, with our very full quiver.
HOWEVER… you know how they say, “When man plans, God laughs!” ?
They also say:
It seems like God had other plans, because here we are, two years later, getting pulled back in through no design of our own. You know it’s God when it’s literally the opposite of what you thought you needed to do, but you are fresh out of good arguments when he thrusts it in your lap.
Thus, on Monday, November 30th, we were doubly blessed to welcome another set of siblings – who also happen to be half siblings to one of our seven “bonus kids”. We kind of made it our policy that we would never say no to any family of our kiddos, so here we are, and we couldn’t be more happy to love on these little cherubs!
Yes it’s difficult, challenging in a million ways, yet at the same time you kind of get to the point where you throw your hands up and say “With so many already, what’s a couple more?” And besides, our three oldest have moved out, so you know, we were swimming in space! We have to trust that God knows what he is doing, and for however long or short we are able to serve, we are grateful for the chance to be part of their world and they a part of ours.
We would appreciate all the prayers you can muster for these little guys, for the Lord’s will for their lives to unfold in His time, and for us to be faithful in loving them during this interval.
