I’m up early…. couldn’t sleep past 4:21.
The intermingling smells of maple pecan sweet potatoes and fancy creamed corn in the slow cookers,
as well as the spiced cran-apple sauce that went into the fridge late last night infiltrated my subconscious and demanded that I arise.
It’s good to get a jump on things though —
there is lots to load and everyone to get ready early.
We leave for Sun Lakes directly after 9am mass,
and Mother and I must be ready to sing at 8am,
which means we must have everything loaded by 7:40 at the latest.
Did I mention Mother has joined the choir?
I don’t think I blogged about that.
She came along to listen in on a rehearsal and was promptly drafted by our Fearless Leader, Garold. 🙂
Aside from the sheer fun of having her company in the choir, and knowing how much the music feeds her soul,
I am doubly thankful as I remember that this time last year she was in a wheelchair!

All praise to Jesus the Great Physician that she is bopping around on her own steam this year, and only uses the cane when she’s out and about.
God is Good!!
I’m off to get ready for the day. Thanksgiving celebration pictures will abound later!
God bless you today as you give thanks for His bounty and unfailing love!

24 Nov 2011Happy Thanksgiving, indeed! God is good…and I can say nothing but “Thank You” to Him for His care and keeping! It’s hard to believe all that has happened since last Thanksgiving….with the fire, and my physical weakness…and here we are, I’m hupping around and we’re preparing to move back into our “own OWN” house, as Nettie likes to put it. Thanks be to God!
