WIP’s

This week has been one of a parent-dictated police-state lockdown of the internet, as we attempted to wrest control of our children’s attention away from the hypnotic glow of the laptop screens and back into reality.

This has put quite a crimp in the communications patterns of several family members; however, it has led to a prodigious amount of schoolwork as well as an across the board increase in creativity.

For example, I have not only nearly finished my second granny square blanket, but when I ran out of white yarn, I began a third, which I am calling the “Granny Hex”.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!

  1. Oooo… just looking at those pretty squares makes my heart quicken! I didn’t see a pic of the blanket completed. Do you have one? I’d love to see it! I’m going to start a crochet blanket once we start school at the end of the month. It’ll give me something to keep my hands busy while I sit with the kiddoes.

    1. These are still sitting right there on that table waiting for me to finish putting them together. I had to wait for a while because I ran out of white yarn, and while I was waiting I started the hexes, and then I had to keep hexing till that was done and one thing drove out another — but I’m soon going to be ready to start putting them together and when I do it will go fast. I can’t wait to see it all put together! 🙂
