“Trig is easy.” –The daughter who apparently inherited a smaller percentage of my math genes than the other children were blessed to receive.
“I need to get me s’more o’ that gunk!” — The Boy, on his way to the kitchen with an emptied plate, who knows what he likes, even if he isn’t terribly interested in the turn of a complimentary phrase.

Today was a staying-in kind of day for a change, except for one morning orthodontist jaunt with my two braces faces. That being the case, I fully expected it to be a refreshing and relaxing sort of day. ((sigh)) Completely forgot to take into account the mental exertions of keeping The Boy on task. As I have said before, some days are just more autistic than others.

Laurent decided to make her yummy garlic bread sticks with marinara sauce for supper, with some leftover Indian rice and veggies on the side. We got an early start on the evening and watched Harry Potter 7.1 with Paul (who did not attend the midnight opening show with the rest of us, because, as he likes to point out, he’s not insane…) and it was good fun to get us all in a lather for the grand finale coming up on July 16th, which as it happens, is Meg’s birthday! (No need to guess how we’ll be spending that evening… even now, costumes are being prepared… I’m pretty sure I’m going as Molly Weasley.)

After the movie we headed out for a walk. I made it about a quarter mile before I decided to listen to what my knee was telling me and head back home. I sent the rest of the crew on their way to the park with Dad, with reassurances that I would make it home fine, and hobbled my way back to the domicile. It wasn’t too long before they returned, announcing that it must be the height of oleander season, as the blossoms were huge… I was presented with proof, atop a huge leaf that Geneva claimed was from a Mallorn tree. I took pictures.  Then I played with them a little.
