Morning Out

Every time I drive mum up north to the fancy neighborhood where her Physical Therapy is located, we pass by a lovely little area and I always think “Shoot, I forgot my camera again…”  Well, today was different.  Today I not only brought my boy along (who needed my supervision to keep working on some school work) but I also brought my camera, and after dropping mom off, we went and parked in the shade beside this sparkling pond, and I was able to capture a few interesting things during our little adventure.

Once we had scared all the turtles back into the pond, and the geese had given up on receiving any treats from us, I drove to Saguaro Ranch Park to see if there might be some roses in bloom at the gardens there.  I’ve been seeing roses blooming in our neighborhood, so I thought this was an ideal time to visit.  I was glad I made it there today, once I saw the state of the flowers… they are on the tail end of their bloom already!  I was so intrigued by the bright oranges and pinks, many of which appeared to be lit by a fire from within… Truly amazed by the creativity of both God, and man, who works with God’s creation to refine and design beautiful new varieties of flowers.

In these last pics I focused more on some of the flowers that were past their prime, yet still held their own peculiar intrigue…

It was a gorgeous day for wandering among the flowers and by the pond, and Jacob and I both enjoyed the fresh air.  We only had a few minutes there, but it was rejuvenating.
