Easter 2017

Easter 2017

Easter Sunday morning we put on our shiny clothes and went to mass early so we could stake a claim on the 3/4 pew we need for our family. It was wonderful to see a FULL church – there weren’t quite enough people for an overflow mass, so everyone packed in and was able to enjoy the exceptional choral music from our Cathedral Choir, a trumpet, and of course our magnificent pipe organ, masterfully played by maestro Matthew Meloche.  Often we are blessed with the Bishop on Easter Sunday, however he was probably recovering from the Easter Vigil last night.  I am always delighted, however, to have our pastor, Father Lankeit, presiding. You can enjoy the Easter liturgy here at your leisure.

I grabbed a few pics in the morning, at home and at church before mass, and then a few more when we got home and at dinner. I was just so blessed to have our big, noisy family around the table together – missing only our Jacob. So much thanksgiving today.

He is risen! Alleluia!
