The Birthday Fun

Since his birthday fell on a shopping day,
it was only fitting that Paul
choose where he wanted to dine before enduring the endless horrors of Costco.

He has always wanted to take the family to
Pei Wei,
so we met Jeff there and were treated to a sumptuous
Asian feast.

Jeff’s B.E.A.U-tiful salad.

My Hot & Sour Soup
(enough for everyone to try some!)

Mom’s Honey Seared Chicken with Brown Rice & Veggies

This family is the goofiest – I said “lean in for a pic!”
Lol… who needs perfect when you can have
candid?!

The kids had fun sharing food and
sitting on the high bar stools.

The sauce that puts the “WOW!”
in Thai Dynamite
(or anything else to which you might add it…)

Insert Costco interlude
wherein Nettie buys more than she planned.

Back home again, for CAKE!!

Man of the hour.

Then there was the time when Nettie tried to use time delay on her camera
and couldn’t figure out how to do it,
so Megan had to get HER camera and get it all set up
and then when she did,
she had clicked off the setting,

and it took the picture before she was ready…

So then she fixed it,
sat down,

and voila!

and voila again!

And one last voila for good measure!

And I had to include them all because each had it’s own particular…
Charm?

Anyway, another important day
celebrated in the best way:
together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
