Today’s passage is taken from the Lectionary reading for April 25,
on the Feast of St. Mark the Evangelist.

1 Peter 5:8-10
The New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE)

8 Be sober and vigilant.
Your opponent the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion
looking for someone to devour.
9 Resist him, steadfast in faith,
knowing that your brothers and sisters throughout the world
undergo the same sufferings.
10 The God of all grace
who called you to his eternal glory through Christ Jesus
will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you
after you have suffered a little.
11 To him be dominion forever. Amen.

Also, today is the 6th Anniversary – to the day (it was on a Saturday in 2009) – of my big brother’s reception into the Catholic Church. Jeffrey just returned from mass and was bubbling over about getting to sing Mass IV and Credo IV, so here’s a little bit of that for you! 🙂

Mass IV
Cunctipotens Genitor Deus

Kyrie

Sanctus IV

Agunus IV

Credo IV – Gregorian Chant (5:05)

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
