On day two of Jacob and Nettie’s two week vacation from the girls, we are continuing our campaign to conquer clutter and crud. This morning Jacob assisted me by performing most of the kitchen clean up, while I did a bit of deep cleaning. When the counter was shiny enough for serving dinner to the king, I had Jacob get out the bread machine that I have not used in many a month. He then collected all the ingredients for a loaf of light oatmeal bread, and proceeded to measure and assemble them in the machine. The loaf is now mixing away, and will no doubt be a scrumptious item to be served with our dinner menu this evening.
