New Year’s Day Hike – Part IV

Finally I caught up to the rest of the crew, but only because they kindly stopped at the next bridge to wait for me.

Mother was glad to find a pair of fuzzy warm gloves in the pockets of her jacket, leftover from MN.  We were all surprised by the cold today, as it did not get above 50 while we were out!

Looking up the canal from the bridge…

Resting on their laurels…

Paul and Mom…

Some pretty red leaves.

Almost as soon as we left the bridge to continue on, Jacob ran right out of both his shoes.  He has a hard time tying them tightly enough, but his big sister was happy to help out.  When she was finished, there was no way they were coming off again! 🙂

I rather liked the way these trees seem to march along the path.

One big happy hiking family. 🙂

Kids like to play under bridges.

Ta-da!!
