Downer

Downer

Well, Wednesday turned out to be a downer for The Boy.  I was absolutely confident that after his Tuesday night episode of mild food poisoning, he would bounce right back and be raring to go by Wednesday night for the final dress rehearsal of Ants’hillvania…. and while the day started slowly, by mid-day it was looking positive.  Unfortunately mid-afternoon he took a turn for the worse with the queasies and the dizziness, and I concluded only at the last minute that he really, truly, could not make it to the rehearsal.  He was completely bummed.  I was completely bummed.  The director was bummed and had to find an emergency stand-in (Thank you, Josh Morris!).  When I left for choir rehearsal, he was drowning his sorrows in Minecraft, but I could tell his heart wasn’t in it.

His cast opens tomorrow night, so I’m positive he will back to his bouncy self by then.  In the meantime, Megan took some pics at the dress rehearsal, to give us a preview of what it will look like. Pretty sweet set! 🙂
