Our contractors were here bright and early (well, not that early, but 8:45 is a far cry from “close to 10am” which is what Paul told me to expect) and I was a little bushy haired still at that point in the day (don’t start with me, I know allllll about “early to bed, early to rise…” – that’s another post entirely…) so I was happy that when he rang the doorbell, I only needed to peek my nose out the door and smile hello when he announced they were ready to start. Good job sweetie leaves the gate unlocked for them when he goes to work in the morning or I’d be out there in my bare feet on the cold dirt, fussing through my keys trying in vain to find the one for the padlock.
There was MUCH banging from the back yard all day long, and a constant hum from their generator, and we stayed out of their way and kept our noses to the grindstone with school until they left around 3. Once again, it is amazing to behold how quickly they are getting this structure in place!
