Week-Ended

A quick recap on the weekend:

  • Saturday:

Made approximately 18 loaves of bread (approximately because a few of the loaves were extra large and therefore qualify as more than one, but how many more is somewhat indeterminate).  I actually wore myself out a little and was thankful for the assistance of my baking angel, Laurent, in finishing up with the loaves.

Paul had gone north for the weekend to fulfill some obligations for the Ranch Association board, but after staying Friday night and most of Saturday, he decided to come home early, and arrived around 10:30 pm.  He brought home some fresh jackrabbit meat, for which I will need to find a recipe.  Huzzah the mighty hunter!! 🙂

  • Sunday:

An excellent morning of worship, beautiful liturgy, and refreshing fellowship with our after-mass-breakfast-bunch at BK preceded a quiet afternoon – for all except Paul, who was called away to help some friends with some emergency moving needs with his trailer.

  • Monday:

School straight through from morning till late afternoon, highly productive, but very intense, and by the end of the day I was a bit of a dribbling idiot, and had to decompress with some doodling in my new Catholic Daily Planner.  I’ve just begun to get back into using a planner, and this one by Michelle Quigley is really nice.  Not as big and cumbersome as the Franklin I used to use, and it has some additional features I like such as prayers, menu planner, and both month-view for the calendar as well as daily entries.  I also use the Google Calendar, so I’m a multi-platform planning kind of gal these days!  I figure everything I can use to keep life organized can only help.

For tomorrow, we are gearing up for taking the day off of school.  Many schools probably took today off for MLK day – but tomorrow we are heading over for therapy in the morning, and then staying downtown so we can participate in the March for Life at noon.  I hope to have some good pics when we get home!

Here are my pics of this and that from the weekend:

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
