In lieu of an interesting blog post today, please enjoy this gallery of randomness.
First, the sad end to my initial foray into sourdough: Placing the starter in a “big enough” jar, continuing to follow the instructions on the sourdough companion website, only to see it die.
A few snaps of Megan enjoying some baby time with Efrain on Sunday. Megan loves babies. A lot.
Finally, a black wasp that I sprayed with bug spray while it was buzzing around the office light fixture, and Geneva took some pictures of, and then smashed with a heavy book, which I then found lying on the floor, picked up, and discovered the remarkably preserved wasp, and took another couple of pictures of. (Sorry for such an unfortunate ending to that sentence, but it’s too tedious for me to change at the moment.)
Today is likely to include more Lisa time, more math and science with the kids, and more attempts at sourdough. (I am trying the pineapple juice version from Breadtopia next. I will see this through to a successful starter, or die trying. End of line.)
Also, I’m beginning to regret watching Fringe before bed for several nights in a row. The Fringe-iness of my dreams is decidedly un-restful. I will need a nap today.
