Today was a day of monumental achievement.  Megan began before I got up, and cleaned every surface in the main area, moving all the furniture, dusting everything, mopping,

and even trimmed all the fringes on the pillows and shop-vac’d under the cushions and all the chushions and pillows, till my couches looked sparkly new! 🙂

Then, while people were going in and out the front door dealing with the blue car, helping daddy bleed the brakes, and, when it suddenly decided to stop working altogether, pushing it with the green van up into the driveway beside the house so it would be out of the way till we can figure out what to do with it, a wasp came in.  Thankfully we had some flying-bug-spray handy, so the terror was minimized.  As I attempted to capture an image of this creature with my camera phone, I felt a deep inner longing for my Nikon.

Also of note, Laurent took charge of the out of control pantry,

and now it is a joy and a pleasure to open the doors.

After all that, we got everybody ready and off to church for confession.  After we got home (with Lisa in tow), Jeff called and is even now walking in the door bringing his laundry along with him.  Thus it shall be Party Time at the Heidmanns — leftovers for supper, laundry all evening, and some Fringe (**IF** I can manage to overcome my disgust about “Bolivia” and sit down to begin this third season… and this is a very big if!!!)

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
