February at the Ranch I – Friday Night

February at the Ranch I – Friday Night

It’s been longer than usual between ranch trips this winter… the scheduling complexities increase exponentially with our church involvements and college and theater classes to coordinate.  We managed to nail down President’s Day weekend for everybody, and were even blessed to have our girl, Malinda, come along for her first visit to our hacienda.  She stayed overnight Thursday, and when Laurent got home from her Friday class early, we were able to get on the road by noon.  Here’s a phone-pic of my happy campers in the van on the way:

And here’s a boy who is very unfamiliar with snow, enjoying a frolic outside the Circle-K in Show Low:

Friday Night inside the cabin

And the last light of the day before we tucked ourselves into our cozy quonset with our blazing fire to ward off the sub-zero chill…

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
