Baking Bread

Baking Bread

It’s been an embarrassingly long time since I made bread, and I decided one of the first things we would do on Christmas break was to break out the Hobart and have the kids learn the ropes of this fun and rewarding skill.

I am not able to handle the physical labor of that task, however, so I was delighted to have Laurent come over and lend her expertise in overseeing the process!

It was an absolute riot watching them laugh and smack the dough around. The kids had so much fun, each one making their own loaf and adding nuts and seeds on top or other designs to their liking to personalize each one. It was a ginormous mess, but absolutely worth it, not only for the delicious bread but for the memories!

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
