A week or so ago I found a good deal on a Canon EOS Rebel T6 for the kids, and since then I’ve been doing some research in order to help them understand it and make the best use of it. In the process, I also found some videos that finally – FINALLY – helped me understand more about how to use manual mode on my own Canon EOS 6D Mark II. I could not be more stoked! I’ve watched dozens of videos trying to understand this, and they all amounted to me, with severe dyscalculia, trying to understand algebra in Greek. I just couldn’t manage the math of it all. But Then I Found This Guy who literally SHOWED me how to do it, and that is all it took!
The first thing I did was to just take a day and shoot around the house to see if I could get any good results with available light indoors. I was incredibly happy with what I got. Now granted, the blog alters the image and super-sharpens it, so they don’t look exactly as they would if I were to print them, but the point is, I’ve crossed a major hurdle that was impeding my artistic growth, so I’m celebrating!
