The Republican Field

I’m interested in hearing from those who plan to vote in the Republican primaries.  Please vote for the candidate you would like to see running in the 2012 election.  This is a totally anonymous poll, however if you would like to comment, I welcome civil discourse particularly relating to the positive reasons you would vote for someone.

Thanks for your participation.  The poll will close Oct. 22nd at midnight.

  1. I’m strongly tempted to say !

    1. One of my most-quoted movie lines of all time. I understand the sentiment — however, if you’re going to comment on the poll, you should at least cast a VOTE! 😀

  2. I picked Rick Santorum, but 2nd I would pick Herman Cain. I’m very interested in both of them. I think Santorum is a strong pro-lifer (AND Catholic ;), but I think Herman Cain might have a better chance, and I’d love to see a conservative black man run against Obummer. That said, I have not researched the candidates much yet, as I’m trying not to fall into election mode yet. I go a little insane during election season. >_<

    1. I like Santorum a lot. In fact, there are only two or three of the above candidates that I wouldn’t vote for in the election against Obama… most of them would, I expect, do a better job as president.

  3. I am by no means an expert in politics, but these are two articles that reflect some of my own thoughts about both current candidates and the electorate.

I am also following Cain fairly closely, and had an interesting discussion with my brother about him on the weekend, but I was interested in Romney already four years ago. He’s got the management experience/expertise that in my opinion is so sorely lacking in the current administration.
