From the boy who has been cringing away from my hugs for years…

Q.O.D.

“I don’t like to be hugged.  I only like to hug.”

So now, when my motherly instincts tell me he needs one, I open my arms, stand in front of him, and say, “Would you like to hug me?”  And he throws his arms around me in an exuberant and unrestrained squeeze.

Words are insufficient to express the sweetness of this revelation.

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!
