We are in a busy season right now – the tilt-a-whirl is spinning madly and we’re just hanging on for dear life!
The number of appointments – between therapy/doctors/behavioral coaches/specialists/evaluations/educational teams/caseworkers/case managers/legal advisers – and the list goes on – seems impossibly to be growing week by week. Here’s a sample of how I’m trying (and failing just a little) to stay sane – :
Things are going to be very hectic for the next couple of months, and my mission is to balance my need, in the midst of a chaotic non-stop schedule, to self medicate with late-night (or anytime I can sit for a few minutes) meditative/prayerful coloring, with my need to be as fully present and attuned to the needs of my kiddos as possible. NO easy task. I keep thinking “I need to go to the ranch!” followed immediately by “Ain’t nobody got time for dat!”
But fortunately there’s this that keeps me grounded and in the moment:
