Saturday Successes

Saturday Successes

Since Paul took off yesterday afternoon with a van-load of Gonzales kids for a little fun time at the ranch, we’ve had kind of a slow-mo day around the house.  There was

  • a good amount of cleaning done,
  • some laundry,
  • some napping,
  • some TV watching,
  • and I even went to a movie with my bro. (Edge of Tomorrow – everything a sci-fi Tom Cruise movie should be, plus surprisingly funny. 🙂 )

Here’s the trailer, (because I like the trailer).

And finally, an little joy bomb that I can’t explain, it’s just one of those mysteries of life.  I was presented with this picture, which was discovered during an excavation in the boy’s room.  It is an illustration that goes with one of Geneva’s stories, I think.  Anyway, when Junior saw this, he immediately declared it to be me!

The perspective of a child is a wondrous thing indeed.  🙂

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!

  1. I love that ! A Mama is always the most beautiful in a child’s eyes! Bless him!

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed Edge of Tomorrow too. OK, it may be derivative and clichéd, buy when that means taking plots that work and bundling them into a good story with lots of SFX, I’m not going to complain!
