It is very important that you take a moment to enjoy the serenity of this title image before proceeding to view the rest of the pics of our Christmas Day at Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Sun Lakes, as it provides an island of calm amidst the raucous and uproarious goings on that have become typical of our Heidmann family gatherings. You will note a lot of tussling and giggling and throwing of paper and hopping on pop – all perfectly normal, nothing to worry about (until somebody gets their eye poked out, right moms? 😉 )
Anyway, it was such delightful festivation, in totally new surroundings, since the Grands have a new house this year after many seasons in Sun Lakes. We had our traditional Christmas Program, including the reading of the Christmas narrative, and some musical contributions from our young flutist, Jadyn, and a trio rendition of Carol of the Bells by the West End Heidmann Girls (who had just come off of singing a Christmas Eve Midnight Mass and a Christmas morning Mass before arriving at the party!). They don’t want me to post the video Paul took on his phone, though I can’t imagine why because it’s awesome. (Yes, I’m a mom. I’m allowed to think EVERYTHING my children do is awesome. :D)
I love family time.
