A Birthday

A Birthday

The long dry season of summer is at long last finished, and the new season of celebrations is upon us, beginning, as always, with a birthday party in Sun Lakes.  This year we celebrated the 14th birthday of my nephew, Jacob Thomas Heidmann.  He brought along his new electric guitar and the cousins all had a go at plucking the strings.  Jenna, as always, went fishing, and caught a very pretty fish. There was dress-up (those days are numbered, as the youngest girls are getting older – but for now, they still enjoy the beads and baubles!)

Here are a scant few scenes from the day.  (Most of the pics I took were blurry thanks to a whole lot of hyperactivity on the part of all the cousins!)

I homeschooled four kids all the way through high school and then fostered/adopted 7 more children. I am wife to a very smart mathematician; I dabble in photography, write and sing, paint in bright colors, and love being Catholic!

  1. Happy belated birthday JT! I have a gift waiting for you in my closet. When I see you at Thanksgiving I will let you have it. Perhaps I might also get you a gift certificate at the local barbershop for a better haircut! Once again, continued best regards, thoughts, and prayers.
