My brother Jeff, in the wee hours of the morning when he was inexplicably awake and therefore reading blogs, sent out this link to everyone in the family. I only just managed to read through it a few minutes ago, and while I reveled like the word-nerd that I am in the techno-speak, my appreciation of this article could never, on this or any other planet, come close to my brother’s reaction. I must allow you to eavesdrop on the chat we just finished, so you, too, can acknowledge and bow down before the quintessential Geek that is my broheim.
Jeff

the smile on my face getting gradually bigger and bigger with each passing paragraph.

what other job could you get paid to do the most painstaking research, reconstruction – and it goes without saying that all this data they recovered had to go into a big DATABASE somewhere (goosebumps anyone?)
about a topic that is so arcane as to be almost completely irrelevant to 99.999999999999% of all people who have ever lived
or ever will live
me (typing as I shake with laughter)

you see, the thing is, you could only bring a project like that to completion if you had some of what I just described inside you. The only way you could painstakingly accomplish all that is required, is for the love of the job itself.

You could not possibly be more correct.
