Viola!

On and off, for months now,
my daughters have at various times
and with sundry
levels of conviction
been requesting that I teach them how to play my viola.

Today,
all of them at once
decided they would simply wait no longer.

Thus it begins:

When they have mastered playing one open string at a time without touching another string, we will move on to the next lesson.

But today’s lesson was well received and a good beginning has been made.

  1. Hey…they all seem to show terrific position…bowing hand and fingerboard!!!!! Look like pros!

  2. That was F.U.N.!
Now I want to take it out every day.
    ;D

    1. You absolutely will have to if you’re going to progress! 😉 Practice, practice, and more practice.

  3. If their interest continues, I foresee a need for more than one viola . . .

    1. I think I may be needing to buy one violin… I don’t think Geneva’s arms are going to grow any longer, and she can barely reach the scroll on my instrument. I’m not pushing anyone into anything, but if one of them decides to pursue the cello (Mom’s is available for use), we’ll have a trio in the family. 🙂
