- Pinterest.com A virtual bulletin board upon which to “pin” the things you come across in your general surfing that take your fancy. One needs an invite, so if you would like one, send me your email address at nettie dot net at g mail dot com. It’s somewhat addictive, but one *can* pace oneself… 🙂
- Regina Coeli Creations … On a whim, I decided to order custom snoods from Delena for myself and the girls, and ordered a yard each of these gorgeous embroidered batiks:
These batik fabrics are so arty and colorful, I want to dress myself in them from head to toe, drape them on my furniture, and glue them to my walls.
- David Busch’s Nikon D3100 Guide to Digital SLR Photography – which my loving husband bought for me so I can really start using my camera with confidence. This is, for the moment, in lieu of an actual photography class. (After all, we’re all about home education here, right? :-D)
- Nikon 55-200mm f4-5.6G ED AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens – which my loving husband also bought for me, and I can’t wait to really start using.
- Wishing I could have found and made the pattern for this truly epic Molly Weasley sweater in time for the Harry Potter 7.2 premier:
- Finding items at thrift stores to complete the costumes for my Luna, Bellatrix, and Umbridge:

12 Jul 2011So I have to ask–where and when do you plan to wear your snoods? I mainly wear mine at the Faire, although I sometimes wear one to church instead of a more conventional head covering. I’m curious as to what you’ll do with snoods made out of this gorgeous fabric.

13 Jul 2011Well, I am speculating (never having had a snood before) that I will wear it much as one might wear a kerchief or bandanna over the hair, but I’ll probably feel a lot spiffier about running around town with one of these on than I would a red bandanna! 🙂 It might be a little too attention-grabbing for church (not in every culture, necessarily, but perhaps at our church anyway). All things in their own time and season, right?

14 Jul 2011The fabric should be here today–can’t wait to see it and get started.
Thanks so much for the shout-out! 🙂
