Out Back

Because there is a boy, and he is The Boy, and he is obsessing over all things both Scientific and Horrible, I found these cute little colorful bottles impossible to resist when I saw them at Hobby Lobby.  I just knew my little alchemist would find a use for them… and I was correct.  I found him out back during lunch break, busily concocting all manner of scary potions, which he was kind enough to describe for me:

The green bottle is poison… and so is the red.
(Two different kinds, mind you.)

You must notice that the mad scientist’s trusty Droid assistant
(the destroyer droid action figure to the left)
is ready to help him make whatever mad potions he desires.

The orange bottle contains a corrosive slime,
sticky,
and much harder to remove
than watery potions.

And the purple bottle contains
a volatile potion
likely to explode at the slightest touch.

  1. Oh my goodness! The oranges are truly great…coming right off the tree! And The Boy’s scientific bottles an ventures are wonderful to behold….I observed him filling them at the bathroom counter earlier today….and they are quite impressive! Am interested to discover what his concoctions DO!

  2. By the way…am glad you are BACK with us!

    1. As am I. One hates to break one’s blog, especially so soon after bringing it into being! So very thankful for the talents of my husband, the great Fixer.

  3. The red bottle contains water with the root pollywoggle and grassroot. ;D
    I helped him create it!
